Bikini Season...oh, no!

This is where I feel a little like Bridget Jones. The up down up down of the scale. Sheesh. So I'm taking matters in to my own hands and I'm starting a healthy lifestyles program now.

For those many of you who know me, you know that I love the nightlife (yes, I love to boogey), but at this point in my life, I'm guessing it's time to buckle down.

No more partying, dancing and drinking margaritas til all hours, come home and grab some salty or sweet munchies (usually potato chips and pineapple chunks) then off to sleep for a few hours.

Nope.

Now I'm making a new start.

Follow me on my journey. I'll let you know what I'm doing as we move along.

Btw, did you know that there is a bill that is moving through Congress right now called the Healthy Workforce Act of 2009? If not, check out the links on our home page and see what it can do for ANY company, large or small.

Oh and if you'd like to join me, let's start a group. A discussion if you will about what you're doing to get ready to go Downey Oshin this summer.

For more details about the program I'm starting...gimme a call or email and I'll fill you in.

A few tips I've picked up along the way:

1. Increase your cardio to increase your fat burning, of course, muscle dictates metabolism, but cardio increases fat burning mode. (so I'm gonna start with the cardio. I've been doing the Wii Fit stuff to start!)

2. If your body is acidic, you won't lose weight. 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda in 2 ounces of water decreases acidity. (this has really been working for indigestion, too)

3. You won't lose weight when you're stressed out. (Maybe I'll ad some yoga to that cardio workout!)

4. Eat your largest meal in the morning (working on this one every day!)

5. Detox and cleanse. (zoiks! I tried nutracleanse and it worked without killing me. I also did a dietary detox...very nice)

6. Eat more fiber. Eat a low GI (glycemic index) diet (created for diabetics & high blood pressure sufferers) that is rich in lean meats and fresh veggies.

Hi Julia!

Congrats on taking the steps to live a healthier lifestyle.  I am currently a certified transitions lifestyle coach and have followed the program for 3 years.  I have lost 32 lbs, 20 inches and over 10% body fat.  The great thing about this program is it's the easiest, most effective program I have EVER followed!  It's totally about lifestyle...

I also have crohn's disease (ya, you are supposed to be thin with this terrible disease....not me...).... and the program has totally changed my digestive health for the good!  I'm off of all my medication and feeling fabulous!!
